Past Instore Catch Up

While you're eagerly anticipating the news on our prospective upcoming instores, here's a wee catch up on the various musical visitors we've had since the Moby DJ extravaganza, just to whet your appetite...

Roses Kings Castles

Back in September we had a visit from Roses Kings Castles, a.k.a. Adam Ficek, the drummer in one certain Babyshambles band, playing some acoustic tunes from his self-titled debut album.

Laura Marling

Just a few days later we were graced with the presence of indie songstress Laura Marling to celebrate the launch of her 7'' single 'Night Terror', who serenaded the crowds and signed copies of the record.

Broken Records

To close out the year Edinburgh indie-folksters Broken Records dropped by one Sunday afternoon for a full-band set, complete with double bass, trumpet and accordion accompaniment. Now signed to 4AD, with an album forthcoming later this year, this was a great chance to catch them in such intimate surroundings.

Ross Clark

For 2009, we kicked off with an acoustic appearance from local singer-songwriter Ross Clark, who, after a couple of successful EPs and regular live appearances in Glasgow and beyond, has just self-released his debut solo album 'You Brought Evil'.

We're certainly looking forward to maintaining our busy schedule of instore gigs and appearances during 2009, with some interesting guests already in the works...
